Privacy policy

Last updated: 22 April 2026

We respect your privacy and aim to be transparent about what data StairCraft collects, why, on what basis and how you can control it. The document is written in general terms and applies within the scope of the laws that govern your country and region.

1. Data controller

The data controller is the StairCraft project team. You can reach us via the feedback form in the site footer.

2. What data we process

  • Staircase configuration parameters — entered and stored in your browser, never sent to our server.
  • Analytics cookies and identifiers — third-party analytics services collect anonymous visit statistics (country, browser, device, interactions with the configurator). They load only after you accept the cookie banner.
  • Feedback-form data — if you send us a message, we receive the e-mail you specify, the message text and the current staircase configuration (to reproduce the issue). An anti-spam token is used to guard against automated submissions.
  • Technical logs — IP address and User-Agent may be temporarily stored in hosting and CDN logs for abuse protection.

3. Legal basis

Analytics cookies load only on the basis of your consent. Processing of messages sent through the feedback form happens in response to your request and within our legitimate interest in supporting the service. You may withdraw consent at any time by clearing the site's cookies and choosing “Decline” in the banner.

4. Third-party sharing

We use third-party services for analytics, bot protection and e-mail delivery. These services act as independent controllers or processors in accordance with their own policies.

5. Your rights

  • right to access, correct and delete your data;
  • right to restrict or object to processing;
  • right to data portability;
  • right to withdraw consent to analytics cookies at any time;
  • right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority in your jurisdiction.

6. Retention

Analytics data is retained by the providers in anonymised form for a limited period, as defined by their own policies. Feedback-form submissions are kept until the request is processed, plus a reasonable period afterwards. You can delete local browser data yourself by clearing the site's history.

7. Children's data

The service is not intended for children and does not knowingly collect their data.

8. Policy changes

We may update this policy as the service evolves and as requirements under applicable law change. The last-modified date is shown at the top of the document.
