About the project

StairCraft is a parametric wooden-staircase configurator with 3D visualisation. It helps private builders, designers and craftsmen quickly estimate the geometry and cost of a future staircase without installing professional software.

Mission

Make staircase calculations transparent and accessible: every computation runs client-side, and the Blondel formula and building-code checks are open and reproducible.

• Four staircase types: straight, L-shaped, U-shaped and spiral.
• Automatic checks of stair angle, headroom and the Blondel formula.
• Rough estimate of wood volume, weight and material cost.
• Configuration export to JSON and plan export to PNG.

Technology

We use a modern, up-to-date stack: fast loading, a responsive interface and smooth 3D visualisation even on modest devices. Everything runs straight in the browser, with no installs and no backend — so we do not collect or store your project parameters.
